Cala Raja and Cala Arena are two of those little beaches that lie far from any population center and we can take a bath in a totally natural environment with no audit trail of the human hand. Both beaches are composed of fine sand and crystal clear water, sheltered by the walls that surround them, are an exceptional place to bathe.
From Cala Raja can see the reef El Dedo (the finger), called by some the finger of God. On the left side of Cala Raja could climb the hillside to look closely at this curious reef, also have a beautiful view of the bay of Punta Negra, which is inaccessible from the ground, and the Vela Blanca Hill chaired by its watchtower.
To reach these beaches we must go to the Lighthouse of Cabo de Gata, take the turnoff to the left past the back of the restaurant El Faro, just over 1 kilometer left the paved road and took a path that passes right next to a fence of a cottage, at the next junction to the right is Cala Arena and the left path goes to Cala Raja.
