Gypsum Karst Cave Nature Reserve


The protected area, by the Junta de Andalucía, Gypsum Karst in the population of Sorbas consists of more than 1000 caves, most of them interconnected, forming a labyrinth of caverns spectacularly adorned with crystal formations such as stalactites, stalagmites, columns and corals. The formation of this set of caves is due to erosion of rain water on the gypsum. Apart from the spectacular caves outdoor landscape is also very spectacular with deep canyons.
